Kevin O’Leary Reveals Custom 101-Carat Diamond NBA Tribute Necklace at Actor Awards 2026

Kevin O’Leary’s 2026 Actor Awards motto? Go big or go home.

The Marty Supreme star arrived for the Kristen Bell-hosted ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles March 1 wearing an impossible-to-miss accessory featuring a rare collector’s item honoring two NBA legends.

Along with his black sequined suit, Kevin, 71, walked the red carpet wearing a jaw-dropping 101-carat Tiffany diamond necklace with a framed Michael Jordan-Kobe Bryant Logoman trading card, which he made sure to point out to photographers was “one of one, baby.” (To see all the stars on the Actor Awards red carpet, click here.)

Ahead of the event, the Shark Tank star discussed the significance of honoring the late Los Angeles Lakers icon—who was killed in a January 2020 helicopter crash along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others—explaining that the gesture was a way of “bringing Kobe back to LA where we all love him.”

“The weight of this thing is, like, two pounds of solid gold and diamonds,” he said in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) hours before the show as he planted a kiss on the collectible. “But it’s all for Kobe.”

Of course, Kevin is hoping for a golden moment of his own at the Actor Awards, where he is nominated alongside his Marty Supreme castmates for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. And prior to the big night, he shared the unlikely way director Josh Safdie pitched him on starring alongside Timothée Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow in the sports drama.

“Over a year ago, I got a phone call from Josh, and he said, ‘I am casting for a movie called Marty Supreme, and there's a role in it called Milton Rockwell,’” Kevin told Entertainment Weekly in December. “‘He's the richest man in America in 1952, and we're looking for a real a--hole—you're it.’”

And while others may have been taken aback by the remark, the businessman favorably compared the conversation to his meeting with Mark Burnett, who offered him another role he couldn’t refuse.

“They were casting for the Shark Tank format, and they invited me for breakfast...He said, ‘Look, I'm casting for Shark Tank, and I'm looking for a real a--hole, and you're it,’” Kevin recalled, joking, “I'm starting to think this a--hole thing's working for me.”
