With Actor Awards nominees like Emma Stone, Kate Hudson and Rose Byrne tasked with reimagining Hollywood glamour from the ’20s and ’30s at the March 1 event, the red carpet was a roaring good time.
Why SAG Awards Changed Its Name to Actor Awards Moving Forward
It's time for an awards show with a bit of, uh, sentimental value. Because the Actor Awards (formerly known as the SAG Awards), is where we learned that Elle Fanning had her first kiss ever on camera, Jennifer Aniston once dreamed of becoming Scarlett O'Hara and Anne Hathaway got a taste of the industry while watching her mother in Evita.
And most importantly that they are all actors.
The only show that's voted on by actors for actors, the March 1 event—helmed by Kristen Bell for the third year—is a night for industry luminaries to recognize their peers.
And this year, it's a moment for attendees like Teyana Taylor, Ariana Grande, Kate Hudson and Jenna Ortega to truly dress to impress.
For the first time in its 31-year history, the ceremony, streaming on Netflix, comes with a red carpet dress code: "Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the '20s and '30s."
So, yes, we expect the step-and-repeat outside Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium to be a roarin' good time.
Among those celebrating: the casts of Frankeinstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another and Sinners—all nominated in the Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture category, with stars like Taylor, Jacob Elordi, Emma Stone, Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio and Michael B. Jordan receiving individual honors.
On the small screen side of the house, Selena Gomez and her Only Murders in the Building castmates will face off against the ensembles from Abbott Elementary, The Bear, The Studio and Hacks for best Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series while the casts of The Diplomat, Landman, The Pitt, Severance and The White Lotus will hope to hear their shows named in the Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series category.
But first they'll all put on a very glamorous show on the red carpet. Because, yes, they all understood the Hollywood glamour assignment. Keep reading to see for yourself.
