Selma Blair Says One of the Most Special Items in Her Closet Is Matthew Perry's Shirt
Jasveen Sangha will spend more than a decade behind bars.
The drug dealer, known as the “Ketamine Queen,” was sentenced to 15 years in prison for her part in providing Friends star Matthew Perry with ketamine that led to his death in 2023, according to the Department of Justice.
Before receiving her sentence on April 8, Sangha described her criminal activity as “poor choices” and “horrible decisions that ultimately proved tragic.”
“I pray for forgiveness every day,” the 42-year-old said to the courtroom, per NBC News. “Thank you for giving me the harshest reality check of my life. Thank you for taking me out of the equation.”
In September, Sangha pleaded guilty to one count of using her home for drug distribution, three counts of distribution of ketamine, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death.
While her attorneys requested that their client, who has been in federal custody since her arrest in August 2024, be sentenced to time served, federal prosecutors pushed for the exact judgement delivered by United States District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett.
Perry’s stepdad Keith Morrison also addressed the court during the hearing, praising Garnett for issuing a “highly reasoned sentence.”
“We miss Matthew dreadfully, of course,” the Dateline correspondent, who is married to the actor’s mom Suzanne Perry, said, per NBC News, “and I feel badly for the perpetrator here as well. Nobody won today.”

E! News has reached out to Sangha’s attorneys for comment and has not heard back.
Perry died in October 2023 at the age of 54 from acute effects of ketamine. In addition to Sangha, four other defendants have pleaded guilty in the case of the Fools Rush In actor’s death.
Former physician Salvador Plasencia, 44, surrendered his medical license in September and is currently serving a 30-month sentence after pleading guilty to selling Perry vials of ketamine following an introduction by one of his clients.
Mark Chavez, 55, also surrendered his medical license and was sentenced to three years of probation, eight months of home detention and 300 hours of community service after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine for selling the drug to Plasencia, who then distributed it to Perry.
Perry’s former assistant Kenneth Iwamasa as well as drug dealer Erik Fleming have also pleaded guilty to drug-related charges, though they have yet to be sentenced.
