Bethenny Frankel Shares Surprising Take on 'Summer House' Scandal
It's safe to say Bethenny Frankel isn't losing any sleep over Summer House's controversial love triangle.
In fact, The Real Housewives of New York City alum thinks fans are overreacting just a little to Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirming they are dating.
"Consenting adults can be with other consenting adults," she exclusively told E! News' Erin Lim Rhodes April 7 at the Fashion Trust U.S. Awards 2026 in Los Angeles. "No one's married."
While that's not technically true, given that Amanda is still legally married to estranged husband Kyle Cooke—they announced their breakup in January—the pair's hookup does come with some extra baggage. Amanda’s BFF Ciara Miller dated West for several months before their emotional 2023 breakup, with the hurt feelings looming long after.
Despite whatever drama West and Amanda’s joint March 31 Instagram post about their evolving feelings has created in the Bravo friend group, Bethenny wants everyone to breathe and take a chill pill.
"It's enough," the 55-year-old added of the backlash. "You can't have a relationship on a reality television show. There's no girl code on reality television fueled by alcohol and scantily clad bikinis. Immediately no. It's ridiculous."
Backlash aside, Bethenny thinks Amanda and West should take this advice amid the ongoing scandal: "None of this is gonna matter when the wash comes out, so don't worry about it."
Amanda might have some trouble taking those words to heart, especially after cannabis and accessories brand Edie Parker removed the 34-year-old from their recent ad campaign.
Hours after Amanda and the sports journalist confirmed their romance, Edie Parker shared a newly edited image from the campaign. Where there used to be an image of Amanda in a cropped version of the shirt, there is now a new anonymous woman modeling the shirt, her head out of frame.

"A lot can change in a day," the brand—which didn’t share additional insight into why it removed its images with Amanda—wrote alongside the side eye emoji. "Same shirt. Same great charity. New model."
And while Amanda hasn't spoken out since her and West's March 31 IG post, Ciara proved she is laughing off the love triangle drama.
While hosting HBO Max's red carpet for Euphoria's season three premiere on April 7, the former nurse quipped while interviewing series star Sydney Sweeney, "I mean, if you steal your friend's ex-boyfriend..."
As for how the actress responded, with a grimace, she admitted, "It's not good."

Kyle also insinuated West's intentions were calculated.
"West is smart enough to know who the audience is, and he knows, clearly, what to say to women to win them over," he told Adam. "Everyone's like, 'Oh my god. Look at his redemption arc!' And he was just piling on strategically, for sure."
