Host Conan O'Brien made sure to provide snacks for the attendees at the 2026 Oscars during the March 15 ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Find out what the celebs snacked on.
How Much Does Conan O'Brien Get Paid as Oscars Host? Breaking Down the Surprising Paycheck
Conan O’Brien made sure the 2026 Oscars were a yummy experience.
As host of the March 15 Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Conan provided a snack pack for the show’s attendees which included a bag of Skinny Pop popcorn, a box of Swedish Fish gummy candies and a water bottle.
“Dear Nominee/Plus One/Seat-Filler,” Conan wrote in a note shared alongside the treats. “Welcome to THE OSCARS!
I hope you enjoy this Conan O'Brien ‘Moderately Happy Meal.TM’”
The 62-year-old joked that while the snacks might “not look like much,” if you were to buy them in a movie theater “they would run you $85.”
“Good luck tonight,” he continued, “have fun and remember that loud, enthusiastic laughter is good for your health and my ego.”
The former late night host signed the note “all the best” and included a cartoon version of himself wearing a tux and waving.
Conan wasn’t the only person to make sure the crowd at the Oscars was well-fed, as the Academy themselves also provided dehydrated veggies for guests to snack on during the ceremony.
And this is hardly the first time a host has made sure to provide a meal for the stars in attendance. In 2014, Ellen DeGeneres brought out a real pizza delivery driver to hand out slices to celebs like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie—and also made sure the delivery driver received quite a tip after his surprise experience.

In 2016 host Chris Rock brought his daughter’s Girl Scout Troop to sell cookies to the audience, and according to Business Insider, raised $65,243 for the Girl Scouts.
“Last night Zahra, my youngest called me up and said, ‘Daddy how come we never sell the most cookies? How come Mrs. Dunn wins every year?'” he said during the show. “It would mean so much to my little girl if we could beat Linda Dunn.”
And in 2017 that year’s host Jimmy Kimmel also had a sweet treat for the crowd as he had candy like Junior Mints and Red Vines rain down on the audience during the ceremony.
