Today's Craig Melvin Calls Out Dylan Dreyer for Asking if He's on a GLP-1
Dylan Dreyer has a new hairstyle to report on.
During the Oct. 28 episode of Today 3rd Hour, the cohost needed to correct her colleague Craig Melvin after he mistook her new styling choice for a recent chop.
“Before we do anything else,” Melvin said, “I think we should take a moment and acknowledge Dylan Dreyer‘s new haircut.”
However, a shocked Dreyer called out the haircut hoax, clarifying to Melvin and their cohost Al Roker, “Guys, I parted my hair in the middle.”
Still, Melvin, 47, seemed to think the meteorologist’s explanation was a bit cloudy, noting that the Today show’s crew all had his same reaction.
“You came in and everyone in the studio said, ‘Dylan! Oh my god, your hair, it’s amazing,’” he continued. “It’s a great look. I like it.”
But Dreyer doubled down that the fresh coif was simply a trick of the eye.
“I don’t know what to say,” she said. “It’s normally parted here and I went over two inches. I’m a whole new person!”
In the end, though, the 45-year-old found the mix-up hilarious, even commenting on how easily she can trick her coworkers.
“See, I can change my whole look very easily,” she quipped. “It’s like Superman, you put on the glasses and you’re a whole new person.”

Of course, Dreyer’s hair styling update isn’t the only change she’s made of late. Indeed, she recently finalized her divorce from Brian Fichera—with whom she shares sons Calvin, 9, Ollie, 6, and Rusty, 5—after 12 years of marriage.
But after announcing the news in July 2025, the morning news anchor shared why the decision to separate worked for her and Fichera.
“Everybody has their reasons for what leads to a separation or divorce right?” Dreyer said on Today in November. “There’s something freeing for Brian and I, where whatever reasons, whatever broke your marriage, you could either fix it if you can, and ideally you would. Or you accept that it’s broken, and you take this new step forward.”
And noting their desire to put their children first, she added, “And all those things that were broken, I don’t hold them against you, because we’ve accepted they’re broken that’s why we separated. So, now let’s move forward as friends.”
