Oscars 2026: Chase Infiniti Pitches ‘One Battle After Another’ Sequel With Costar Teyana Taylor

Teyana Taylor knows a thing or two about support.

And she made that clear after Amy Madigan was named the 2026 Oscar winner in the Best Supporting Actress category. Just as Zoe Saldaña confirmed the Weapons star was the recipient, the One Battle After Another actress jumped to her feet to show love for her category mate.

For Amy’s part, after exclaiming how she was really flummoxed to have won, the actress—who was last nominated for an Oscar in 1986, she shared insight into her award season journey. And she credited her fellow Best Supporting actress nominees, Teyana, Sinners’ Wunmi Mosaku and Sentimental Value stars Elle Fanning and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas for the sisterhood the they’ve developed over the last few months.

“When I was doing all the Weapons stuff, I was kinda traveling on my own,” she explained from the stage. “And people from One Battle and people from Sinners just kind of gave me a hug and said come on in.”

Though she didn't walk away with the Oscar, Teyana has proven her weight in gold this season, taking home Best Supporting Actress at the 2026 Golden Globes. As she dazzled onstage to accept the award in her custom black Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown, she shared an emotional message for her fellow "Brown sisters and little Brown girls" watching the ceremony.

"Our softness is not a liability. Our death is not that," the actress—who shares kids Junie, 10, and Rue Rose, 5, with ex Iman Shumpert—said. "It's not too much. Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter and our dreams deserve space."

The achievement wasn't lost on the "Gonna Love Me" singer, who reflected on the journey that eventually led her to gold.

"Thank you @goldenglobes for seeing me, not just in this performance, but in the journey," she wrote on Instagram alongside a snap of herself holding her trophy. "I've been at this for 20 years, so this award doesn't only represent this role… it represents every season, every sacrifice, every yes, every no, and all the love and life I've poured into my work and into others along the way."

She concluded, "Purpose doesn't rush. It arrives right on time."
