Taylor Swift Flashes Engagement Ring to Travis Kelce at iHeartRadio Music Awards

These artists have hit all the right notes.

The nominations for the 2026 American Music Awards are here, and with them come new records for Taylor Swift, who found herself at the top of the list.

Already the most-awarded AMA artist in history with 40 wins, Swift hopes to add to her resume with her eight nods. And, if she manages to win in each of the categories during the May 25 ceremony, she’ll have tied with Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston for the most AMA wins in one year.

Among the categories Swift is nominated in are Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Music Video for “Fate of Ophelia” as well as Song of the Summer for “Elizabeth Taylor.”

Following behind the Life of a Showgirl artist on the nominations list are: Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Dean, sombr and Morgan Wallen with seven nods apiece, while Alex Warren and Lady Gaga follow with six.

Dean, Warren and sombr (real name Shane Michael Boose) are all nominated for New Artist of the Year alongside Ella Langley, KATSEYE and Leon Thomas.

As for those rounding out Artist of the Year with Swift, Carpenter, Lady Gaga and Wallen, artists Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, BTS, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber and Kendrick Lamar all earned nods.

And if Bieber wins just one of his four nominations, he’ll tie with Kenny Rogers for the second-most wins among male artists.

There are also some exciting first-time nominations, including a nod for Teyana Taylor. The “Hard Part” singer earned a nod for Best Female R&B Artist. Other first-time nominees include PinkPantheress, RAYE, Role Model and Tate McRae.

And speaking of the big screen, EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI—the voices behind KPop Demon Hunters’ pop group HUNTR/X—earned three nominations for “Golden,” including Song of the Year, Best Vocal Performance and Best Pop Song.

The 2026 American Music Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 25 hosted by Queen Latifah. Fans will be able to vote for their favorite artists online at VoteAMAs.com and on the @AMAs Instagram profile until May 8.
