The former governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remains a force to be reckoned with despite its internal crisis.
The governor stated this after meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Aso Rock Villa on Friday.
He argued that the performance of the PDP in the recently concluded council elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) placed the party higher than the coalition of opposition leaders.
Mohammed stated that despite the defections, PDP remains bigger than other opposition parties.
He boasted that the PDP has survived and remains in force for over two decades amidst litigations and leadership crises.
He said, “PDP is still there, we deserve some accolades for what we did in the FCT. At least, we are bigger than the coalition that is everywhere.
“PDP is a party that is everywhere and in every ward. It has a brand that has survived over two decades.
“Our outing in FCT where we won one council chairmanship seat and about sixteen councilors shows that we are moving.
“I’m not feeling lonely because I’m in my state to make sure that I sit back and watch how elections are won from the polling units.”
