Who Won The Masked Singer Season 14? Pop Star Revealed as Galaxy Girl
Ashlee Simpson took everyone's breath away on The Masked Singer.
And that includes her older sister Jessica Simpson. So, when the "Pieces of Me" singer was named the season 14 winner of the competition, Jessica couldn't help but praise her.
"I watched these performances at home on the couch," she told the judges and audience during the April 1 finale. "She literally performs for us all the time, so she deserved this stage and I'm so glad you guys got her."
Although Ashlee, 41, admitted that she was surprised to place first, Jessica, 45—who took off her sister's Galaxy Girl mask—added, "I can believe it!"
The "Take My Breath Away" singer proved that she'll always be rooting for Ashlee.
"Always her number one fan," she declared. "She can do everything."
Meanwhile, Ashlee—who is mom to Jagger, 10, and Ziggy, 5, with husband Evan Ross, as well as son Bronx, 17, with ex Pete Wentz—shared her own thoughts on being the newly-crowned winner.
"I'm kind of freaking out right now," she reflected. "I've literally had the best experience of my life here. I have grown so much here. It's shown me a lot for myself because people think, 'Oh, this is easy.' It is hard work."
And it was also an exciting experience since Evan also competed as Stingray before being eliminated in week 10 on March 18.
"We were competing against each other," she recalled, "and it was wild because we couldn't see each other."
Winning The Masked Singer felt like a full-circle moment for the "Lala" singer, whose infamous 2004 Saturday Night Live lip-synching scandal had clouded her career for years.
"I've been curious about doing The Masked Singer for years, and now that I'm in the finale, I can confidently say it's more transformative than I ever imagined," she said in a video before the win. "It's not always easy to put yourself out there. When I was young and reckless, I didn't think twice. I felt like the world was mine—and then one moment changed everything."

"I was publicly humiliated," she continued, "called a fraud, a fake, it was devastating. I was so young, and I thought it would define me forever. From then on, I became cautious. Taking risks just wasn't my thing."
But taking the stage as Galaxy Girl proved that she was capable of doing so much more than she imagined.
"I've been able to get back to that fearless performer I was all those years ago and I put my past behind me for good," she added. "But, for now, winning that Golden Mask trophy would show my kids that taking risks is always worth it and that their mom is and has always been a total rock star."
