Former National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralph Nwosu, has accused President Bola Tinubu of using the institutions of government against the opposition parties.
Naija News reports that Nwosu made the allegation while fielding questions in an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme on Thursday, stating that Tinubu’s action is wrong.
Nwosu stated that the ADC and other opposition parties have given the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government enough notice to move the country forward, but they have failed.
According to him, there are more than 150 million Nigerians who cannot eat well, but those in government are playing politics with the poor masses.
He said, “It is time the opposition acted more. The Bola Tinubu administration is trying to use almost all institutions of government against the opposition, and that is wrong.
“The ADC and other opposition parties that we are collaborating with, we have been deliberate not to hit up the system unnecessarily.
“Hitting up the system does not privilege anybody. Our country needs to move and we have given the administration good enough notice for the country to move forward.
“Nigerian people are suffering. We have over 150 million Nigerians who cannot eat well, and those in government are playing politics.”
