‘Days of Our Lives’ Actor Patrick Muldoon Dead at 57

Barbara Eden is dreaming of her time spent with Patrick Muldoon.

Following the Days of Our Lives star’s death at 57 from a fatal heart attack, the I Dream of Jeannie star paid her respects to her former colleague.

“So saddened to learn about the sudden passing of Patrick Muldoon who I costarred with in 2019's ‘My Adventures with Santa,’” Barbara, 94, wrote on Instagram April 20 alongside a photo of the pair with costars Denise Richards and Erick Devine. “Patrick was a sweet man who was very personable.”

“I enjoyed the time we spent between takes and just enjoying each others company in general during the production of the film,” she continued. “He made the experience even more fun. While the passing of a loved one is never easy, it is especially difficult when it's unexpected and sudden as I understand Patrick's was.”

The Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea actress added, “My thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.”

Patrick died of a heart attack April 19 at the age of 57, his sister Shana Muldoon-Zappa told TMZ, also sharing with the outlet that he was discovered in his home by Partner Miriam Rothbart.

Following news of his passing, Patrick’s peers, including his Days of Our Lives costar Alison Sweeney, reflected on their happiest memories with him.

“This is such heartbreaking news,” Alison wrote on X April 20. “Pat was a rare kind of person—brilliantly talented, endlessly kind, and generous in spirit.”

“I was so lucky to have worked with him when I first started at Days,” she added. “He made me feel at ease right away. He brought his unique charm and humor to work every day. A truly gifted guy, and one who will be profoundly missed.”

Meanwhile, Denise’s daughter Lola Sheen, detailed the impact the Melrose Place actor, who remained close friends with Denise after dating in the 1990s, had on her life.

“I thought you were the one that was supposed be in our lives forever,” she wrote on Instagram April 20 alongside a throwback photo of Patrick and Denise. “When i think of my childhood i think of you pat, and it’s gonna be so weird to go on without you in our lives.”

“You were such a huge part of our family and life will never feel the same,” she added, “but that’s just because of how much you impacted us.”
