Oscars 2026: Chase Infiniti Pitches ‘One Battle After Another’ Sequel With Costar Teyana Taylor

Chase Infiniti has an idea for one film after another.

In fact, the One Battle After Another star pitched for a sequel to the 13-time Oscar nominated film, hoping that she and costar Teyana Taylor—who plays her mother Perfidia Beverly Hills—as well as Regina Hall’s Deandra will get the chance to share the screen.

I would love to see that,” Chase exclusively told Zuri Hall during Live From E!: Oscars 2026 March 15. “And I would love to see Willa and Perfidia get Deandra.”

The 25-year-old added, “I would love to see the three of us together, honestly.”

And it was a huge night for Chase—who looked stunning in a custom Louis Vuitton lilac gown—especially as she couldn’t believe she was actually there for the Conan O’Brien-hosted ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. (For every star on the Oscars 2026 red carpet, see here.)

“I had a bit of a 'pinch me’ moment yesterday where I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, tomorrow's the Oscars,’” she admitted. “But it hasn't hit me yet. I can’t believe it.”

One Battle After Another marked Chase’s first feature film after making her acting debut in the 2024 series Presumed Innocent. And she can’t quite believe the path her career has taken.

“You couldn’t have told me three years ago that I would be where I am now,” she shared with Deadline in December, “and getting the opportunity to be in the rooms or projects that I’m in with some of the most legendary people in the industry—it’s unbelievable.”

As for how she got to where she is? Chase joked it came from the “sheer determination of a 10-year-old” and a “creative-forward household,” as her parents helped fuel her love of acting.

“My parents showered me with so much love that I felt empowered,” she added, “but they also taught me that with dedication and hard work, you get what you want.”

And when Paul—who both wrote and directed One Battle After Another—came her way, Chase quipped, “My brain could not compute how massive this project was.”

“I didn’t get the script until halfway through auditioning,” she explained. “But when I did, it was a real page-turner. Willa has no fear. I can relate to her stubbornness and resilience, but I don’t think I could handle what she goes through. Her strength is never-ending.”
