Nigerian military personnel from Sector 4 have detained an individual suspected of impersonating a soldier at a checkpoint in Adamawa State. The arrest took place at the Tsamiya Checkpoint, located in Barama within the Mubi North Local Government Area.
According to a statement shared on Tuesday on the social media platform X by counter-terrorism expert Zagazola Makama, the suspect was apprehended at approximately 6:40 p.m. on September 27, 2026, while allegedly posing as a member of the military.
An initial investigation revealed that the suspect allegedly wore a military uniform as part of a scheme to defraud unsuspecting members
