Tinubu is Osun son, I endorse him for 2027 – Adeleke speaks after victory

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has reaffirmed his endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 general elections.

Speaking after his declaration as winner of the just concluded governorship election, Adeleke said President Tinubu is a son of Osun State.

Adeleke appreciated Tinubu for what he described as a free, fair and credible election.

“At this point, I must deeply appreciate Mr President, His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his strong support for a free and fair election.

“President Tinubu is son of Osun State and I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement of him for a second term in the 2027 presidential election,” he said.

The President had earlier on Sunday sent a congratulatory message to the governor.

DAILY POST reports that Adeleke was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Sunday morning after defeating his closest rival, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC Bola Oyebamiji.

Adeleke won in 19 Local Government Areas with 511,067 votes. Oyebamiji won in 11 Local Government Areas with 444,815 votes.
