The 18th edition of the TCM Classic Film Festival is set for April 8-11, 2027, it was announced Tuesday.

“The TCM Classic Film Festival is something everyone at TCM looks forward to all year, and we can’t wait to be back in Hollywood with our fellow classic movie fans in April 2027,” Genevieve McGillicuddy, vp of TCM Enterprises & Strategic Partnerships, said in a statement. “There’s something incredibly special about experiencing these films together, on the big screen and in the historic theaters where so much movie history was made.”

Tuesday’s announcement was short on details, with the 2027 festival theme, programming, special guests, venues, pass information and on-sale dates yet to be announced.

The schedule is not good news for lovers of the festival and the Masters golf tournament — they will overlap next year.

Only three other TCM festivals began earlier in the year — it kicked off on March 26 in 2015, on April 6 in 2017 and on April 10 in 2014 (it also started on April 11 in 2019). Last year’s event ran April 30-May 1.

Based out of the historic Hollywood Roosevelt hotel — site of the first Academy Awards — the festival brings together movie lovers from around the world for four days of theatrical presentations and celebrations of film.
