The 19-year-old played a pivotal role in anchoring Spain's defense, which conceded just a single goal throughout the entire tournament. Cubarsí's defensive efforts culminated in Sunday's final at New York New Jersey Stadium, where he helped neutralize Lionel Messi and Argentina to secure Spain's second-ever World Cup title.
Despite his youth, Cubarsí has compiled a highly decorated resume. Prior to this World Cup victory, he helped guide Spain's under-23 team to a gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He has now earned 20 caps for the Spanish senior national team. At the club level, the defender has already made 128 senior appearances across all competitions for Barcelona.
