Emily Blunt’s $500,000 Met Gala Body Necklace Is Indeed Groundbreaking

Diamonds are Sudha Reddy's best friend.

The billionaire entrepreneur proved that her favorite accessory at the 2026 Met Gala May 4 was her jaw-dropping diamond necklace with an estimated $15 million price tag.

For the evening's "Fashion Is Art" dress code, Sudha stepped out in a showstopping custom Manish Malhotra gown that included a dramatic train featuring a "tree of life" motif and peacocks, as well as floral patterns along the panels that draped her hips. (See all the celebs at the Met Gala here.)

Sudha took her look to the next level, pairing the ornate gown with a stunning necklace. An accessory from her own collection, the piece features trilliant-cut and round-shaped diamonds along the neckline with the Queen of Merelani stone at the center, a 550-carat violet-blue tanzanite gem.

Along with the accessory, the 47-year-old—who previously turned heads at last year's Met Gala with a $10 million necklace, also from her collection—wore 23-carat and 30-carat diamond rings.

While Sudha's look showcased her love for all things sparkly, it was also a homage to her Indian heritage.

"Hyderabad is not just my origin; it is a language, a rhythm, a way of being,” she wrote on Instagram ahead of the gala. "Through this look, I aspired to translate that sensibility into a form that could exist effortlessly on a global stage while remaining deeply rooted in the South Indian imagination."

Leaning into Kalamkari, a 3,000-year-old textile tradition, the look was a love letter to the subcontinent's sprawling fashion history.

"It is reinterpreted here as something sculptural and alive, where every thread holds a fragment of history," she added. "This ensemble is not about nostalgia, it is about evolution."

"For me, this is what costume art can be: not just adornment, but a living archive," Sudha concluded. "A way of carrying heritage forward not as something fixed, but as something that continues to grow, transform, and speak."
