A civil society group, the Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC), has launched four fundamental rights enforcement lawsuits against the Imo State Police Command's anti-kidnapping unit, commonly referred to as "Tiger Base." The legal actions allege severe misconduct, including torture, arbitrary detention, the enforced disappearance of children, forced labor, extortion, and extrajudicial killings.
