Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed suggestions of jealousy regarding the recent meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The Chinese premier concluded a three-day state visit to the United States on Friday, which featured bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening ties between Washington and Beijing.
Speaking at a press conference during the United Cultures Forum in St. Petersburg, Putin was questioned on whether he felt "jealous" about the US-China meeting or the potential for a three-way meeting involving himself, Trump, and Xi at the upcoming APEC summit.
“Jealousy is something from a completely different area of a humanitarian nature—relationships between men and women,” he replied
