Why Nikki Glaser Is a "Little Embarrassed" After Revealing Leonardo DiCaprio's Cheeky Gift

Nikki Glaser is pasta-tive she regrets this admission.

In fact, the comedian—who was recently named one of TIME’s Most Influential People of 2026admitted she wishes she hadn’t revealed Leonardo DiCaprio sent her pasta after she made fun of his 1991 Teen Beat profile at the 2026 Golden Globes.

“Honestly the amount of press it got, I was a little embarrassed,” Nikki exclusively shared with E! News at the 2026 TIME100 Gala in New York City April 23. “Like, ‘Oh, he's gonna think that I'm just bragging about it.’”

In reality, the 41-year-old just wanted to make sure she had something good to share on her April 21 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“I was just trying to come up with a funny story for Fallon,” she laughed. “I only have a few.”

As Nikki shared on The Tonight Show, whenever she makes fun of someone at an award show she sends them flowers as a small way to thank them for being a good sport.

This time, Leonardo was the only person to send her something back.

“I did a joke about Leonardo DiCaprio, which I was really struggling with because I was like, 'I just don't want to make the joke about how he has young girlfriends. It's been done so many times,’” she explained to host Jimmy Fallon. “That joke's been going on longer than his current girlfriend's been alive."

So, Nikki decided to take a different approach when teasing the 51-year-old—who has been in a relationship with model Vittoria Ceretti, 27, since 2023.

"Me and my writing team found a Teen Beat article from 1991," Nikki recalled. "I was like, 'Leo, we don't know anything about you. The only thing we know about you is from a Teen Beat article in 1991, where you told us your favorite food is pasta, pasta, and more pasta.'"

"He sent me three baskets of pasta as a thank you," Nikki added. "He sent me pasta. So funny. So good. Part of me was like, 'Does Leo want to smash?' Like, I was like, 'All right.' Then I was like, 'The type of girl he goes for, he wouldn't send pasta to.’ It was a dry pasta."

But Leo’s love for pasta wasn’t the only thing he talked about in his Teen Beat interview as the Oscar winner also touched on his love for Lord of the Flies, basketball, baseball, Pink Floyd and MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This."

As for how Leo reacted to her reveal at the Golden Globes? The Titanic actor appeared delighted, laughing and giving Nikki a thumbs up from the audience.
