Nicole Kidman’s Daughter Sunday Rose, 17, Breaks Met Gala Rule With 2026 Debut
Sunday Rose is blossoming into a fashion icon.
After making her debut at the Met Gala 2026 alongside her mom Nicole Kidman, the 17-year-old shared a peek at designer Jonathan Anderson's vision for her Christian Dior gown.
A story that Sunday—whose dad is Keith Urban—shared to Instagram May 5 revealed the early concept for her pink blossom gown. In a sketch originally shared by Dior's creative director, the silhouette looks nearly identical to the look Sunday ended up sporting—right down to the singular statement earring—proving her vision came to life.
But while the sketch exemplifies Sunday’s eye for fashion, her attendance at the event alongside Nicole—who is also mom to Faith Margaret, 15, with ex Keith, as well as Bella Cruise, 33, and Connor Cruise, 31, with ex Tom Cruise—solidified her as a visionary. After all, the model became one of the youngest Met Gala attendees ever, breaking the party’s rule for guests to be 18 years or older.
Of course, Nicole—who co-chaired the event with Vogue's Anna Wintour, Beyoncé and Venus Williams—had previously shared she was “so, so excited” for her daughter to attend the Metropolitan Museum of Art fundraiser.
As Nicole, who wore a custom red long-sleeved Chanel gown for the occasion, put it during an appearance on Las Culturistas in March, “She loves fashion."
Meanwhile, Sunday wasn’t the only stylish stripling at the Met Gala. Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter, 14, also stepped out as one of the youngest attendees ever.

And similarly to Nicole, the “Break My Soul” singer’s heart was bursting at the milestone.
“It feels surreal,” Beyoncé—who wore a custom Olivier Rousteing design for her first time at the event since 2016—told Vogue in an interview May 4. “Because my daughter is here. She looks so beautiful. This is incredible to be able to share it with her. I think she looks so incredible.”
The 44-year-old—also mom to 9-year-old twins Rumi and Sir—also couldn’t help but praise her daughter’s ability to strut in her white Balenciaga gown. As she put it, “She is ready.”
