Stranger Things' Maya Hawke stepped out at the 2026 Met Gala in New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4. See what she wore on fashion's biggest night.
Met Gala 2026 Dress Code Revealed
Maya Hawke is swooping into Met Gala 2026 in style.
The Stranger Things star descended upon New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4, arriving to fashion's biggest night—this year themed of "Costume Art" with a recommended dress code of "Fashion Is Art"—in a black-and-white Dior ball gown with delicate floral decorations.
She paired her look with a black headband. (Click here to see all the celebrity arrivals.)
But the 27-year-old is no stranger to the Met Gala. In fact, this is her fourth appearance at the prestigious fashion fundraiser.
The daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke made her debut in 2018, wearing a black Diane von Furstenberg with an Elizabethan-inspired collar to that year's "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination"-themed party.
Maya then paid homage to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld in an all-white Prada number at the 2023 affair, before again turning to the Italian fashion house two years later for a structured pink dress with a caramel chiffon cape.
However, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress considers her personal style to be way more casual when she's not on the red carpet.
"There was a woman I knew when I was 18 who always wore dark navy-blue jeans and a Saint James striped shirt, and I just thought she was so beautiful," she told Vogue Hong Kong earlier this year. "She was in her early 70s, and I was like: 'When I grow up, I wanna look like her.' So I just kind of copied her."

So much so, she practically lives in jeans now.
"I’ve been very excited about belts and this pair of jeans that I haven’t been able to stop wearing," Maya raved. "I got them at a vintage shop in Berlin while filming The Hunger Games."
She added, "This pair of jeans is from Just Cavalli, and I’ve been obsessed with them."
