Madrid declares Ceuta a “national security interest”

Nearly a month on, the situation in Ceuta remains tense. Around 80,000 people crossed illegally from Morocco into the Spanish enclave. Now, Spain has declared Ceuta a “national security interest” and is creating a new coordination body bringing several authorities together.
