Met Gala 2026 is quickly approaching

Try keeping up with Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala hints.

Ahead of the 2026 Met Gala, the 45-year-old confirmed she is keeping her ensemble fully under wraps until she graces the Metropolitan Museum of Art steps in New York City. Although, she did give a tiny indication of what to expect for her interpretation of the “Fashion is Art” dress code.

As for which designer is responsible for dressing the Kardashians star on May 4, Kim cheekily quipped in response to a fan question on X, “Hmmm I don’t think you will be able to guess.”

But though she remained tight-tipped about her ensemble for the “Costume Art”-themed event, she did give a preview of her glam. And this year, Kim teased in a subsequent post, that her makeup look would entail “more neutral bronze tones.”

Meanwhile, the SKIMS founder drummed up anticipation by posting her various looks from the past decade of Met Galas on Instagram, writing on May 4, “Year 13 loading…”

Since making her Met Gala debut in 2013 alongside then-husband Kanye West—displaying her baby bump in a floral Givenchy gown—Kim has been a regular attendee alongside her mom Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner. (Sister Khloe Kardashian made her debut in 2022 but has opted to remain at home in the years since.)

And over the years she has often switched up designers, previously working with Balmain, Mugler, and Versace, just to name a few. Most recently, she wore a black leather Chrome Hearts gown to last year’s Met Gala—which was themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

“Inspired by Lenny Kravitz,” the mom of four explained on Instagram at the time, “a modern dandy whose fluid, bold aesthetic, alongside icons like Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis, pioneered distinct and culturally significant aesthetics - shaping the way men dress for generations to come.”
