Irina Shayk Turns Heads in World’s Tiniest Bra Look at Met Gala 2026

Irina Shayk may have been channeling the Dalí at the 2026 Met Gala, but she wasn't not ready to walk a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway at the same time.

The Russian supermodel hit the steps May 4 outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the tiniest jeweled halter bra by Alexander Wang paired with a hip bone-flashing, floor-length black skirt that picturesquely pooled at her feet. She accessorized with a variety of snug jewelry, including metallic time pieces serving as a choker and armlet, while the bra was clasped with what looked like a watch.

The look, celebrating the night's theme, "Costume Art," and complementary "Fashion Is Art" dress code, was conceived as a wearable archive, according to the designer, drawing on Surrealist principles and recontextualizing functional objects as fashion. As described, chains replaced what would normally be the bra seams and clasps replaced stitching, while the watches anchored the body as both closure and focal point. (And metal-and-diamond nipple plates helped avoid a wardrobe malfunction.)

To top it all off, the couture look took more than 200 hours of hand-craftsmanship to create.

"I was just inspired by her vibrancy," Alexander Wang told Entertainment Tonight of the risqué look he crafted for her. "She's such a knockout, so I was like, 'Let's just put her in the most decadent jewels and watches, and, yeah, it's all about the body. Fashion Is Art."

Shayk's inner glow was illuminated by RéVive Skincare's Renewal line, including the Renewal Rescue Elixir and Renewal Cream, though she also lit up thanks to her cuddly dog Pucci, her new "emotional support" and member of the family, as she put it. He wasn't headed to the carpet with her, but he was in her arms at The Mark Hotel, where attendees gather to prep beforehand.

"His first Met Gala," she quipped, "but he's not doing red carpet, only Mama does."

And Shayk is a veteran of many Met Galas, so the 40-year-old is used to handing herself over to a designer's vision.
