An Air India flight traveling from Phuket to Delhi experienced a sudden mid-air drop of nearly 300 feet after encountering severe turbulence. The incident resulted in injuries to 17 people on board.
Despite the violent disruption during the journey, the aircraft was able to proceed to its destination and landed safely in Delhi. The incident was reported on August 5, 2026.
