Pete Davidson’s Girlfriend Elsie Hewitt Shares New Photo of 3-Month-Old Daughter Scottie
Elsie Hewitt is hungry to learn how to nourish her baby.
While she exclusively bottlefeeds her daughter, the 30-year-old—who shares 4-month old Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson with Pete Davidson—admitted that she had some difficulty finding the right technique.
After two weeks of struggling to get Scottie to drink from her bottle, a mom friend suggested she change the nipple size from a one to a two.
“When it came time for her next meal, I popped a size 2 nipple onto the collar of the bottle and lo and behold…” Elsie wrote in the foreword to the new flow rate guide from Tommee Tippee. “She latched perfectly and took to it with complete ease. All I could hear was the sound of her breathing in between sips, and the beginnings of the excited shrieks I held back so as not to interrupt or disturb her flow state.”
She continued, expressing her relief, “I exhaled. I embraced the quiet. I smelled her head. I wept. I had cracked the code!”
The Dave alum is passionate about providing access to feeding resources, writing in a May 6 Instagram that she was “genuinely honored & excited to have written the forward for the Tommee Tippee Feeding Made Simple Guide.”
“My only wish is that it existed 4 months ago,” she said of the guide, which was written alongside a family medicine doctor and a certified lactation consultant, “when I was trying to figure all of this out myself and could’ve used it being mapped out in front of me all in one place.”
The model has previously been open about her decision to not breastfeed her daughter. Detailing “the quiet shame attached to formula feeding” in a February 25 essay in Elle, Elsie shared, “Feeding a baby carries an unusual amount of moral weight.”
Elaborating on why she chooses to bottlefeed, the Turnt star explained, “I wasn’t sure the benefits of breastfeeding outweighed the demand, isolation, and exhaustion that can come with it.”
She added, “Every baby, every birth, every pregnancy, every mother, every body, every situation, every logistic, every need, every mind, is different. Formula feeding was the right choice for me.”
