Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has approved the establishment of a community market in each of the 21 local government areas of Adamawa State.

The new markets will be in addition to those currently existing across the state.

Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta announced the policy decision on Wednesday, saying the new markets would boost commercial activities in the various LGAs.

Speaking to newsmen while inspecting the proposed site for the market in Numan Local Government Area, Farauta said the planned markets would provide centralised spaces for individuals and companies to conduct businesses and thrive.
