The Kano State Government has announced that schools will reopen as scheduled, rejecting any plans to close classrooms or delay the resumption of the academic calendar due to the ongoing diphtheria outbreak in the state.

According to state officials, the current status of the outbreak does not justify keeping students at home. Consequently, the resumption timeline will proceed without alteration.
