Dieux Founders Sound Off on PDRN, Exosomes + Biggest Skincare TrendsCourtesy of Dieux

Sensitive skin, this one’s for you. Dieux is dropping the price on its cult-favorite Deliverance serum, a skincare staple known for helping calm reactive skin, reduce the appearance of redness, and smooth the look of fine lines.

The full-size 30ml bottle dropped from $69 to $62, while a new 60ml jumbo size is launching at $89. That means you'll save big when you buy the jumbo (instead of two full-size bottles).

Even better? Both versions are now packaged in sleek 100% aluminum, an eco-friendly switch that brought down production costs.

But this relaunch isn’t just about a new look and better price point. It’s also a chance for Dieux to double down on why Deliverance has become such a fan favorite in the first place: a gentle-but-effective formula designed specifically for reactive skin.

The serum blends a mix of soothing and skin-supporting ingredients, including an encapsulated cannabinoid complex, peptides, niacinamide, and antioxidants. Together, they help calm irritation while supporting a brighter, smoother-looking complexion.

Co-founder Charlotte Palermino says it’s become a non-negotiable in her routine, helping her tolerate stronger actives and even replacing vitamin C in her morning lineup.

“I’m someone that has always had reactive skin, this is the one Dieux product I can’t live without because it helps me tolerate harsher actives. It also replaced Vitamin C for me in the morning.”

Deliverance 3-in-1 Repair Serum

With the power of 3 serums in 1, this multitasking formula is clinically proven to deliver results that only get more remarkable with time.

That focus on skin barrier support is also intentional. According to co-founder Joyce de Lemos, the formula was designed without common irritants that can trigger sensitivity in the first place. “

We left out potentially sensitizing ingredients like retinoids, chemical exfoliants, or any ingredients that function in high or low pH formulations. We wanted the formula to be gentle enough to ideally use twice a day.”

For anyone dealing with a compromised or easily irritated skin barrier, the brand’s approach is all about stripping things back to the essentials before slowly rebuilding. That focus on barrier support shows up not just in the formula—but in how the founders actually use the products in real life.

The Best Routine for Irritated, Compromised Skin

“While anyone can have an allergy to anything, proud to say all Dieux products are formulated to be really kind to sensitive skin," Charlotte explained.

"That being said, if you have a truly impaired barrier, aka your face is raw, I like using Ethereal cleansing oil and Skin Mercy which is our OTC recovery cream that soothes skin, helps with the appearance of redness and is just the most gorgeous texture. Once my skin is on the mend, I’ll then re-introduce Deliverance, Auracle and Instant Angel and this combo will help me get back to baseline fast.”

Ethereal Cleansing Oil

This luxurious oil cleanser effortlessly melts away even the toughest waterproof makeup and sunscreen in seconds.

Skin Mercy Recovery Cream

Designed for all skin types, including dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone, Skin Mercy Recovery Cream is clinically proven to provide powerful relief from redness, itch, and irritation while deeply hydrating skin.

And the final rule? Keep it simple and stick with it. “Be consistent. It’s boring but it’s like anything, do you see changes from going to the gym once? No. You need to show up every week. I’ve worn a good amount of sunscreen for the better part of a decade and that’s done more than just about anything!”

Editor's Pick

TiZO Ultra Zinc SPF 40

We're personally big fans of TiZo's Ultra Zinc SPF. It features moisturizing ingredients for an elegant dewy finish. Plus, it wears well under makeup.

For Joyce, that reset routine gets even simpler during flare-ups.

“As someone that suffers from sensitive skin and facial eczema, I often have an irritated skin barrier. When those moments happen, I really simplify my Dieux routine to just the basics. To cleanse, I’ll use Baptism. It’s really gentle and non-stripping. Then I’ll follow with Skin Mercy to helps soothe and support my barrier with calming colloidal oatmeal. If I need even more of a protective layer, I’ll use our work-in-progress occlusive formulation Barrier Blanket.”

The Skincare Trends the Founders of Dieux Are Skeptical About Right Now

Both founders agree the skincare space is full of buzzy ingredients that don’t always live up to the hype. While Deliverance is designed to be ultra-gentle, the founders say the wider skincare space isn’t always as well-researched.

“I’ll always be skeptical of ingredients that promise the world, but have very little research. Right now you see so much around PDRN and I’d love to see more data," Charlotte shared.

"I think people don’t hydrate and moisturize enough and credit the PDRN when really, they had really dry skin. I’m also skeptical about anyone under 30 (really, 35 is pushing it) selling products that ‘helped their wrinkles.’”

I’m always skeptical when I hear the term exosomes," Joyce answered. "While there are many plant derived exosome like ingredients out there that are efficacious and supported by data, there are many that just aren’t. Additionally, I feel like everyone is jumping on the trend and including ingredients that might just be different types of liposomal or vesicle delivery ingredients and calling them ‘exosomes.’”
