Demands grow for closure of US detention centre over inhumane conditions

A group of US lawmakers are joining protesters in demanding a controversial immigration detention centre be shut down. Detainees at Delaney Hall in New Jersey say they have been given rotten, maggot-infested food and are denied adequate medical care.
