Cardi B, Connor Storrie and More Heat Up the Met Gala After-Parties

The art of fashion continued to shine after the 2026 Met Gala

Following the May 4 benefit for the Costume Institute at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, the stars kept the good times going, hitting up after-parties around New York City.

For those who got ready at The Mark Hotel—including Hudson WilliamsCardi B and Ashley Graham—they were treated to party fuel in the form of chicken tenders and French fries from The Mark Haute Dog Cart by KFC in the lobby before continuing on their way.

From there, many celebrities and Met Gala attendees partied into the early morning at Saint Laurent's post-Met bash at People's bar in Greenwich Village.

And many of those attendees continued with the night’s “Costume Art” theme and found new ways of leaning into the “Fashion Is Art” dress code.

Take, for instance, Ashley, who swapped the nude-colored DiPetsa gown she wore to the Met Gala for a Jean Paul Gaultier SS99 dress featuring imagery of statues for the after-parties.

Hunter Schafer, too, changed out of her custom Prada look—inspired by Gustav Klimt’s 1912/1913 painting "Mäda Primavesi"into a shorter and sleeker Steve O. Smith dress before heading to the Saint Laurent festivities.

The after-parties also included some celebs who weren't a part of the official Gala, including Olivia Rodrigo, who came hot off her SNL hosting gig.

Earlier in the night, the stars were joined by co-chairs Beyoncé, Venus Williams and Nicole Kidman inside the Met Gala. Venus was accompanied by her husband Andrea Preti, while Nicole and Beyoncé also brought special plus ones: their daughters.

Indeed, Nicole was joined by her and ex-husband Keith Urban's 17-year-old daughter Sunday Rose, while Beyoncé had husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy, 14, at her side.

The two co-chairs even technically broke Met Gala rules by including their daughters: Met Gala guests are supposed to be 18 years old. However, much like the taboo selfies that still get taken every year, it seems like Anna Wintour was willing to make an exception.

For Nicole, fashion has always been an important part of her life, especially because her grandmother and her mother were both accomplished seamstresses, often making clothes for her—and even giving her firsthand knowledge on how fashion can be used.

“Sometimes it’s armor,” the Oscar winner told Vogue in 2025. “Sometimes it’s playful, sometimes it’s sexy. It just depends on my mood. Sometimes it’s androgynous, sometimes it’s kind of, screw you.”

For the 58-year-old, fashion is “a parallel artistic life.”
