Arid, landlocked Burkina Faso is far from the lush setting usually needed to grow tropical fruit. But here in Ouagadougou, farmers are beating the odds. They're growing pineapples as part of a national effort to boost self-sufficiency and adapt to the Sahel region's ever-harsher climate.
