 Senator Okoiti Andrew Omtatah, Parliament of Kenya; Donald Deya, Chair of the Stop the Bleeding Campaign and CEO of the Pan-African Lawyers Union (PALU); Chenai Mukumba, Executive Director, Tax Justice Network Africa (TJNA); Janet Zhou, Executive Director, African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD); Memory Kachambwa, Executive Director, African Women’s Development and Communication Network (FEMNET); Dr Patrick Ndzana Olomo, Acting Director, Economic Development, Integration and Trade, and Head of Economic Policy and Sustainable Development, African Union Commission; and Prof. Jean Marcelin Brou, co-author of the Black Paper, during a panel session at the sixth African Conference on Debt and Development (AfCoDD VI) in Nairobi on Wednesday.

The call comes months after African Union leaders adopted the Common African Position on Debt, which seeks to strengthen Africa’s collective hand in debt negotiations and push for changes to the global financial system.
