Leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has reacted positively to the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) official confirmation of Prince Adewole Adebayo as the party's presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
Following the release of INEC's final list of presidential candidates, the party characterized the development as a crucial milestone in its run-up to the 2027 polls, voicing strong confidence in its electoral prospects.
Felix Obuseh, the SDP Chairman for Delta State, released a statement noting that the official publication of Adebayo's candidacy by the electoral commission has significantly energized party members and supporters nationwide. Obuseh affirmed that the party remains committed to mobilizing grassroots support for its presidential flag bearer as the election approaches.
In a similar vein, the Zamfara State SDP Chairman, Bilal Aliyu Gusau, offered his congratulations to Adebayo on securing the INEC clearance and extended his wishes for a prosperous campaign trail.
