The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that any party leader who fails to secure a victory in their polling unit, ward, or constituency during the 2027 elections will be disqualified from receiving federal government appointments.
Chijioke Chukwu, the APC Chairman in Abia State, announced this directive on Sunday at the party's secretariat in Umuahia during a post-primary election reconciliation meeting.
Chukwu explained that the party plans to closely track the performance of its members during the 2027 elections to measure their commitment. To facilitate this, the election results from the polling units, wards, and constituencies of all APC leaders and stakeholders will be published immediately after the voting concludes, allowing the party's national leadership to evaluate individual performance.
Calling for unity, focus, and a continuous strategy to deliver victory for President Bola Tinubu and all APC candidates in Abia, the chairman warned the party’s House of Assembly candidates and other stakeholders against compromising the APC's interests for those of rival political parties.
