A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State, Adamu Yahaya, has declared he is withdrawing his backing for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections. Yahaya, widely known as Adam Fakai, pointed to a lack of recognition from party leadership as the primary reason for his decision.
In a recently released statement, Fakai announced he would cease promoting the initiatives and policies of the Tinubu administration. This decision comes after he spent more than two years traveling across Nigeria to publicize federal government projects.
Fakai explained that he had dedicated his own money, time, and energy to championing the administration because of his faith in President Tinubu’s vision and developmental goals. However, he claimed he has received no backing or encouragement from APC leaders at either the state or national levels.
Furthermore, the APC chieftain accused several prominent politicians of using the photographs and video footage he recorded of federal projects without giving him credit or reaching out to him. Fakai suggested that he might have been treated with greater appreciation had he hailed from a different state.
Despite halting his promotional efforts, Fakai expressed his gratitude to those individuals who did offer him encouragement and support during his campaign. On social media, Fakai gained prominence for documenting and sharing updates
